Palm Tree Bowl and Jar Faceted Lidded Jar (Turquoise)
Every now and then, I like to make something BIG, like the coil-built amphora from one of my first hand-building classes at Red Hot Center for Clay with Leanne McClurg Cambric. But most of the time, I like to end a session of throwing at the wheel with a little lidded jar. My favorite decorating techniques are still sgraffito, especially the palm tree motif I lifted from a Newcomb pot’s design, and faceting with one of my sharp tools.
